CENTRAL BUSES' 216 APPROACHES LOAD STREET ON A 125 SERVICE. THIS ROUTE HAS SINCE PASSED TO DIAMOND.
Situated in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, the town centre of medieval Bewdley, with its historic buildings and renowned grade 1 listed bridge, can make some impressive photos. All the bus routes serving Bewdley travel over the bridge, making it ideal for taking bus photos.
The bus scene in Bewdley has changed a lot over the last ten years, with the sale of First’s closest depot, Kidderminster, to Diamond in March 2013 and the closing of other smaller operators in the area, such as Central Buses, Whittles and R&B Travel.
Diamond Buses are the main bus operator in Bewdley, with all their routes passing through the town being operated from their Kidderminster depot. Yarrantons and Astons Coaches also operate services in Bewdley. The town does not attract many visiting coaches, due to the lack of coach parking in or near the town.
